OUR STORY
Hello to you. My name is Cherylynn and I am passionate about all things baked. I love to be challenged especially in the kitchen and that means I’m willing to try anything. The sweet Side is founded in my home and born of my love of desserts. I primarily do catering or buy order only, however I have plans to branch out within the next year or two. I am a huge foodie and love trying new tricks and techniques so each and every order is customizable.
Before The Sweet Side I worked in several kitchens and have had a lot of experience with food. I am Serv-Safe certified and have completed a culinary arts education program. As much as I loved cooking on the line I decided that pastry was my calling and made the move to just desserts. I started The Sweet Side this past year and have done fairly well. And every order I’ve had has received good reviews. Baking is something I only did in my spare time and hoping to turn a passion and my talent into something that could be a full time job has made this business possible. How many people get to say they truly love the work they do.
On top of all that has become of my budding business I am really into charity work and teaching children the beginning skills in the kitchen. I will eventually be offering individual baking lessons for ages 3 and up and a portion of each order received will be put in a charity fund. At the end of each year clients can vote on the charity they would like the proceeds to go to.
